Farad MedPos Free — Data Retention Policy

1. Scope
This policy describes how long the Farad MedPos Free Android application (package com.threedbazar.mediposfree) keeps the data it stores on your device, how you can delete it, and what data is held by the third-party advertising provider that funds the free build. It complements the Privacy Policy.
2. Core principle
The App is offline-first and you are the data controller for the records inside it. 3D Bazar does not hold copies of your sales data on its servers — we cannot retain or delete those records on your behalf. Retention of business records is fully under your control; retention of advertising data is governed by Google.

4. Why we recommend keeping invoices for 5 years
Under section 107 of the VAT and Supplementary Duty Act 2012 and accompanying NBR rules, registered businesses are expected to keep tax records for a minimum of five years after the end of the relevant tax period. Even if you are below the VAT threshold today, keeping the records for that long protects you in case of an audit or a customer dispute. The App will not auto-delete invoices.
5. Backups and exports
Because all data lives on your device, the responsibility for backups is yours. We recommend, at minimum:
- Keep Android Auto-Backup enabled for the App in Settings → Google → Backup.
- Export PDF receipts you may need later via the invoice screen's Share Receipt PDF action.
6. Deleting everything
To wipe all Farad MedPos Free data from your device, open Android Settings → Apps → Farad MedPos → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the app. Once cleared, data cannot be recovered unless you restored it from a backup you took yourself.
There is no user-account system. Because 3D Bazar does not store any of your data on its servers, there is no account or remote profile to delete on our side.
7. Advertising data held by Google
Google AdMob retains ad-serving data (advertising ID, IP, ad-interaction events — see the Privacy Policy §5) under Google's own retention schedule, which we do not control. You can:
- Reset your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Future ad events are no longer linked to your previous ID.
- Opt out of personalised ads on the same screen.
- Request deletion of ad-related data through Google's My Ad Center.
8. Changes
If the App's retention behaviour changes (for example, adding an auto-purge for OCR history older than 90 days), we will update this page and bump the date above before the change is shipped in a release.
